Datasets - Manage Sources

A source or is where the financial information is being imported from into Reportance. I.e. MYOB, Xero. See below for instructions on how to set-up a source.  


There are two locations a Source can be set-up from as detailed below: 


File Settings

To access the sources from file options select Source from the File Settings drop-down on the right-hand side of any screen inside the Entity File. 

This will display a list of currently available sources. 

To add a new source select the + New Source button.

New Source

To add a new source when creating/editing a dataset click on 'Add Source' from the drop-down menu when selecting a source in the Dataset information screen as shown below:

Adding a New Source

The following types of files can be used for sources. 


SourceDetails
ExcelThis type of dataset is used when a direct connection is not available. The required fields are Account Name, Dr, Cr.
ReportanceCan be used to import a dataset from another reportance client group and/or entity. This is great when creating a consolidation of many entities. Each entity can be imported as a dataset.
MYOB AccountRight LiveCreates a Livestream of data from MYOB Account Right
MYOB EssentialsCreates a Livestream of data from MYOB Essentials
XeroCreates a Livestream of data from Xero
Quickbooks OnlineCreates a Livestream of data from Quickbooks Online
ClassCreates a Livestream of data from Class

Editing a Source

Access the current data sources by navigating to 'Sources' from the File Settings drop-down on the right-hand side of any screen inside the Entity File. 

This will display a list of currently available sources. To edit a source click on the source and a dialogue will open up. 
From this screen, new login details can added to the data source to access the data and the data source name can be changed. 


Deleting a Source

Currently, a source is unable to be deleted.
